intercognitive comparative advantage

Rather than trading on headcount or arbitrary markers of value, human and machine agents intentionally trade on differential advantages in cognition, as initially described by 19th century economist David Ricardo. When each form of intelligence plays to its relative strengths (humans with taste, tempo and creativity and machines with throughput, recall and variation), the ensemble gets further than either alone.
