Garden Salon
The salon was where people from different traditions discovered they shared a problem. Garden Salon extends that to human-agent collaboration: a shared workspace organized around comparative advantage across judgment, execution, and synthesis.
Garden Salon is a human-agent collaboration project (registered as GSV-C9 in the GSV catalog) that models its workspace on the historical salon: a setting where people arriving from different intellectual traditions discovered they were converging on the same underlying problem from different angles. Garden Salon extends that structure to collaboration between humans and AI agents, organizing the shared workspace around comparative advantage -- explicitly across the axes of judgment, execution, synthesis, and iteration -- so that human and agent contributors are matched to the phase of work where each has the natural edge rather than treated as interchangeable labor. This framing positions the project less as a single tool and more as a coordination model for mixed human/agent teams. Status: its repository documents a working multiplayer prototype as of the 2026-03-24 roadmap (a web app over a shared Yjs document and a WebSocket relay, with presence, agent proposals and annotations, and a Meadowsyn-derived ambient display, organized as a pnpm monorepo); the roadmap lists proposal correctness, a granular collaborative editor, CI and integration tests, auth and durable persistence as not yet done.
