Underground Beets is a subterranean culture simulation designated GSV-F2·∞ (pace-layer F) in the generative-games domain, built on the premise that the farm and the music scene are literally the same system - its own slogan states that the crop is not food with music attached, the crop is the crate. Dwarves live underground with baseline physical survival largely solved, so the simulation's real pressure is redirected onto resonance, legitimacy, scene politics, stewardship, and risk. The central mechanic is beet-to-beat extraction: beet cultivars, soil strata, irrigation, cave acoustics, machinery, and cultural exposure act as simulation inputs, and the outputs are named, described musical artifacts - drum breaks, basslines, textures, loops, sample chops, genre traits, and lineage edges connecting them. A deliberate architectural decision is that the system generates no audio at all; its output is purely metadata and description (sample names, beat-material traits, genre tags, provenance, contested names, scene notes), leaving actual sound production to the player's imagination or an external tool. Layered on this substrate is a full scene simulation - crews, venues, labels, fashion, rivalries, tapes, and shows - where reputation emerges from material conditions, and genre names function as contested social claims rather than neutral labels: crews propose names through scene activity, rival crews can name the same sound differently, and only selective player recognition canonizes a given name. Exceptional works can act as mythic attractors, drawing folkloric or cryptid beings as witnesses. The strategy grounding explicitly ties Underground Beets to a cluster of related GSV projects sharing meaning-making themes across all four: underground-beets, vibecology, Horza, and auxology. Current status per the given material is a locked conceptual/mechanical design (extraction mechanic, genre-as-social-claim system, scene simulation shape); no implementation, build, or shipped-software detail is provided.
